What maintenance should be done after installing rubber fenders
After installing rubber fenders, we should check them once a month and create a rubber fender application file to regularly check the working status of the rubber fender systems. The contents of the periodic inspection mainly include the following items.
- Fender body – with or without rupture, incision, or sagging other.
Chain assembly – spiral tightening device is normal or not, timely tightening, whether the number of the chain is reducing.
- Bolts – whether the bolts are loose, check the number of bolts and pads, and it is best to do the point welding of the fixed bolt and pad.
- Front panel – check whether the front pad is deformed, depression, corrosion phenomenon, and anti-corrosion paint are damaged. In order to prevent rust-proof plate rust, it should be protected once a year.
- UHMW-PE face pad – Timely replacement of the damaged face pad.
The problems should be solved timely and correctly, for the big problems the fenders and accessories can be replaced by the manufacturers.
