Tender Details: Negotiated Procedure.

Work Profile: As part of the fairway adjustment of the Lower and Outer Elbe the fairway of Köhlbrands is to be pivoted 15m to the east. The resulting difference in height between the waters and the level of the existing east side of the embankment can no longer be absorbed by the embankment. In order to secure the above-mentioned elevation, an approx. 1,125m long section is planned which is to consist of a combined sheet pile wall anchored at the rear with micropiles. In this case, an expansion reserve for an optional widening of the running water by a further 15m is to be taken into account. The sheet pile wall runs within the Schüttstein embankment in the water exchange area about 20m on the water side of the HWS wall of the Klärwerk Köhlbrandhöft. It crosses two existing outlets of the sewage treatment plant “Hamburgwasser” whose outflow structures have to be integrated into the new concept.
