Matters needing attention when using ship launching airbags
It is a very economical and convenient way to launch a ship through marine airbags. When using ship launching airbags, we need to pay attention to some matters to ensure safety. The following are some precautions.
- Adjust the initial pressure P0 of the airbag to improve the safety of the airbag. It is practical and feasible to adjust P0 to an appropriate low level, and it is an effective measure to improve the safety of the airbag.
- The airbags are scientifically arranged to improve the load bearing capacity of the airbags. The arrangement density of the airbags should be sparse or dense, roughly corresponding to the distribution of the ship’s weight.
- The minimum height of the compressed airbag shall not be less than 25mm;
- The instantaneous maximum pressure of the airbag shall not exceed half of the ultimate bearing capacity of the airbag;
- The berth slope transition should be reasonable. If the slope is too large, the bow of the ship will be seriously separated from the airbag during the longitudinal movement of the hull, resulting in an unstable center of gravity or hull deformation.
- The airbags should be perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the berth, otherwise, the airbags will be twisted and superimposed and unable to roll when the hull slides down, and the hull cannot move longitudinally normally.
