How to maintain the pneumatic rubber fenders?

- Cleaning of Surface
When the fender is put out of service for a long time , wash its surface with fresh water before putting it in to storage.
- Pressure Limitation
Reduce slightly the internal pressure ( 0.03~0.05mpa/cm2 ) before storing to eliminate any danger or excessive pressure caused by a rise in the atmospheric temperature.

Visual check on body | Every 6 months or after any abnormal berthing |
Check CTN and accessories | Every 12 months |
Inspect and clean the safety valve | Every two years |
Abnormal Berthing | If any abnormal berthing occurs on fender, proper checks must be carried out for any visible damages |
- a)Avoiding Direct Sunlight
- b)Avoid getting oil or grease on the fender during storage.
- c)Avoid welding or excessive heat near the fender.
