In the dredging industry, besides the widely used floating hoses, tapered floating hoses are also becoming increasingly popular. We’ve produced several batches for our customers this year.
The tapered floating hose can be divided into 2 types: Type A and Type B. Both type are used for floating hose lines and offer excellent flexibility.
Type A tapered floating hoses
Tapered floating hose A type has buoyancy on the large end, while the small end lacks buoyancy. The buoyant end is usually connected to bow coupling of dredger. Meanwhile the non-buoyancy end is usually connected to tapered floating hose B type, which then directly connects to normal floating hoses.
Type B tapered floating hoses
Tapered floating hose B type is more in demand by customers than Type A. Its buoyancy gradually decreases from the larger end to the smaller end. The buoyant end connects to the floating hose, while the other end connects to a CSD dredger, a Type A tapered floating hose, or a hopper connection hose.
If you need this kind floating hose in your future projects, welcome to contact us for more info.
