It is definitely D type rubber fender. D type rubber fenders are among the most common rubber fenders, perfectly suited for use on ships, docks, and jetties to protect vessels from damage when berthing.
D type rubber fenders are usually molded from natural rubber. For some longer or small-sized D-type fenders, they will be made by an extrusion process that pours unvulcanized rubber into a special mold.
There are three main types of D type rubber fenders:
DD Type Rubber Fender
Design:Both the outer shape and inner hole are D-shaped.
Features:Commonly used for ships and docks. The fender is connected to the surface by bolts and is suitable for different punching installation methods.
DO Type Rubber Fender
Design:Similar to DD type rubber fender, but the middle hole is round.
Features: Mostly use side punching method, special gaskets are required for front punching installation, and it is an ideal choice for vessels.
Solid D Rubber Fender
Design:Completely solid, no inner hole.
Features: Provides a strong anti-collision barrier. Although the compression rate is lower than hollow fenders, it is more suitable for large offshore vessels or heavy impact occasions.
