2) To ensure that new fenders are completely appropriate for installation and use, original fenders’ specifications or drawings must be provided when replacing original fenders.
- Rubber fender storage
The regulation states that fenders should not be stored in direct sunlight, in the rain, or in contact with acid, alkali, oil, or organic matter. Fenders need to be at least one meter away from heat sources, and the ideal temperature range is -10 to 30 °C with a relative humidity of 50% to 80%. The storage period is one year. If more than one year, calculation should start from the using time.
- Transportation of rubber fender
During the transportation, the fender shall be kept clean and shall not be allowed to fall, hit, drag, roll, and shall not be exposed to hard objects, hanging, thorns, and shall not be in contact with acids, alkali, oil and organic matter, and away from the heat source one meter away.
4. Periodic inspectionafter installation fender system
1）Fender body – with or without rupture, incision or sagging and other abnormalities.
2）Chain assembly – spiral tightening device is normal or not, timely tightening, whether the number of the chain is reducing.
3）Bolts – whether the bolts are loose, checking the number of bolts and pads, and it is best to do the point welding of the fixed bolt and pad.
4）Front pad – check whether the front pad is deformed, depression, corrosion phenomenon, and anti-corrosion paint is damaged. In order to prevent rust-proof plate rust, it should be protected once a year. Timely replacement of the damaged face pad if needed.
