Aberdeen Harbour construction and dredging project
Marine licences have been awarded for the construction and dredging operations of the Aberdeen Harbour expansion.
The expansion work of the Harbour into Nigg Bay is worth £350M, which is a key facility for the oil and gas sector.
The expansion includes an additional 1,400m of quay, a water depth of up to 10.5m, a wide entrance and turning circle, and a laydown area of more than 125,000m².
The harbour management announced that Dragados is its preferred bidder for the main construction contract.
