Test and inspection of pneumatic fender Dia4.5m*L6.4m to South America
At the end of August 2020, one batch of Nanjing Deers’pneumatic fenders had been finished production of Dia4.5xL6.4m, and the inspection of third party BV and our QC was together carried out according to ISO17357-1:2014 standard requirements. This inspection report is finally issued and approved by BV.
The inspection of pneumatic fender
Pneumatic fender is also called floating fender in some countries. The main inspection of pneumatic fender is airtightness, performance, dimensions. According to our client’s requirement, the size of the Pneumatic fender is Dia4.5m*L6.4m with 80Kpa and the largest size of the pneumatic fender we can produce is Dia4.5m*L10m. This time the size of the Pneumatic fender is relatively larger and requires higher performance. Our pneumatic fenders are strictly in accordance with the ISO17357-1:2014 standard, and every process from rubber raw materials to the selection of tires is strictly controlled. Good quality is our guarantee to our clients.
The test of pneumatic fender
According to the requirements of our QC department, the pneumatic fender has been placed for 24-48 hours after completion to ensure airtightness. With the ISO standard witted testing by third-party BV, the internal pressure of the pneumatic fender was tested to check the air-tight performance after the initial internal pressure 80kpa was kept for 30 minutes. The size of the pneumatic fender is relatively large. From a safety point of view, under the premise of meeting the same performance requirements based on ISO standards, we choose to inspect the pneumatic fenders with a scaled downsize, and the same effect can be achieved. In order to save the transportation cost of our client, we generally deflate the air of the pneumatic fenders. Considering the protection of the pneumatic fender, we generally use a steel frame to transport fenders. Pneumatic fenders are usually used on large ports, ship to ship, tankers, LNG, PNG vessels, which are convenient for installation and maintenance, and can play a good application in protecting the hull.
