$1 Billion Lagos Port Project
DP World has reportedly begun talks with the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) regarding a port construction project with an estimated value of US$1 billion.
The project is to develop a DP World Terminal in the Lagos area and a suitable site is currently being sought. Both the brownfield as evident in the agreement on the Bulk Terminal and the Greenfield are investments worth billions of United State Dollars.
This projects will including building a complex for container and bulk transshipments, completing port expansions, and undertaking environmental work. The target of this project is increasing Lagos Port’s capacity by adding equipment and facilities.
