150,000-ton LNG carrier berth project in Yang Shan Port kicks off

Recently, with the first batch of floating pile ships, tugboats and barges entering the construction site one after another, the wharf project of Shanghai Yang Shan Deep water Port LNG Station Line Expansion Project officially started construction.
This project is the main part for LNG Carriers to berth and carry out loading and unloading operations. It has great significance.
This construction project will build a new 150,000 gross tons LNG transportation berth, which is expected to be able to accommodate 150,000 to 180,000 cubic meters of LNG carriers. The wharf can also accommodate 5,000 to 266,000 cubic meters of LNG transport ships. The wharf will adopt a butterfly layout, consisting of 1 working platform, 6 breasting dolphins, 6 mooring dolphins, main approach bridge and etc, with a designed throughput of 6 million tons/year.
